Road Work
Moving back to a city that now seemed constantly under construction made navigating refuge and hazards more…complicated. I began building new relationships and fixing up old ones. It felt a lot like the first day of school only now I was an adult and driving. Speed bumps, blockades and natural disruptions inspired me to take a closer look at personal metaphor. What had I developed in terms of coping skills and communication tools? How could I express my “road work”? It started with daily reflections documented by sculpting.
